For companies around Rp100 billion a year, IT or not

Numbers you can prove, that explain themselves to shareholders.

An accrual general ledger for companies around Rp100 billion a year, in any industry. Journals are born from invoices and bank statements, every number traces to a document, and the system writes its own analysis for directors and investors.

Access by invitation after a consultation; board members and investors get their own read-only access.

RevenueRp5.99 bn▲ 4.9% vs last month
Net profitRp1.24 bn▲ 0.6% vs last month
Cash and bankRp15.1 bn▲ 9% vs last month
  • Revenue up 4.9% on last month, driven by Private cloud (+607 million).
  • Professional services expense up 78% in three months (60 million to 107 million).
  • Cash up three months in a row; revenue run rate 68.5 billion a year.

Four steps, without changing how your finance team works today.

Two fiscal years from Excel loaded and matched to the financial statements to the last rupiah.

1

Load the Excel you have

The chart of accounts and monthly journals are uploaded from the workbook you use today. Rows that fail validation are listed one by one instead of blocking the upload.

2

Connect the portal and the bank

Every invoice paid in the sales portal becomes a journal automatically, per line item, with the service period for monthly revenue recognition prorated by day. Bank and payment gateway statements are imported and matched to journals; doubtful lines go to a review queue instead of being guessed.

3

Record bills and pay them

Supplier bills are recorded with the taxable base, 11% VAT, article 23 or article 4(2) withholding, due date, and supporting documents. Another approver approves it and the payable journal is created.

4

Lock the period, reports publish themselves

A period cannot be locked while drafts, unmatched bank lines, or pending depreciation remain. Once locked, the final PDF pack with balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and notes is published automatically.

For companies around Rp100 billion a year that intend to keep growing, in any industry.

Not a cash book for small businesses. For companies with many transactions and several payment channels that answer for their numbers to shareholders, the board, investors, and auditors: technology, services, distribution, education, healthcare, logistics.

Hosting and cloud providers

Thousands of invoices a month from a portal, payments through banks, gateways, and cards, revenue that must be recognised per service period. The first customer operates at this scale, and its case shaped the product.

Non-IT companies with many transactions

Distribution, education, clinics, logistics, professional services: invoices from any sales system, supplier bills with VAT and withholding, fixed assets, and the same monthly reports for tax, owners, and the board.

Companies preparing for investors

MRR, ARR, EBITDA, Rule of 40, and runway computed from the books, not from a separate spreadsheet. Investors and board members get their own read-only access and can ask questions on the numbers, so due diligence does not start from zero.

A small core, strict rules.

Every report is a query over journal lines. No payroll, e-invoicing, or inventory; with automatic analysis, investor metrics, and revenue flow.

Double-entry journal

The database rejects journals that do not balance, that post to header accounts, or that touch a locked period, whichever path they come through. Corrections only via reversing journals; posted journals cannot be edited.

Available

Excel import

Chart of accounts and journals from your workbook, even files of tens of megabytes. Output VAT split from gross revenue, legacy account codes kept as a mapping table, mistyped dates recognised and recorded.

Available

Complete reports

Trial balance, general ledger, balance sheet, monthly and year-to-date income statement, indirect-method cash flow, and a tax summary per period (output and input VAT, withholding, corporate tax) with line-level detail for tax filing.

Available

Management dashboard

Key figures compared with last month and last year, analysis notes written automatically (what drove the change, costs growing faster than revenue, cash falling month after month), a revenue bridge by product line, per-product drill-down to the ledger, and a data quality score. Ask a question on any number; the answer is recorded.

Available

Investor metrics

MRR and ARR, growth, gross margin, EBITDA, ROE, Rule of 40, net cash, runway, and cash conversion, each with its definition and SaaS and hosting benchmark bands. A six-month projection from the trend, honestly labelled as a trend, not a forecast.

Available

Flow analysis

A Sankey diagram from product lines to revenue, to cost of sales and gross profit, to operating expenses, other expenses, and net profit. One view of where every rupiah of revenue ends up, per month or year to date.

Available

Excel export

Every report downloads as Excel with numbers kept as numbers: trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, tax summary, monthly summary by product line and cost group, and investor metrics.

Available

PDF report pack

One PDF with cover, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and bookkeeping notes. The final version is published and archived automatically when the period is locked; tax, shareholders, and the board read the same file.

Available

Automatic journals from the portal

Invoice paid, refunded, and voided events from the sales portal become per-item journals with deferred revenue schedules and a monthly recognition job. Idempotent; failed events can be replayed from the screen.

Available

Bank and gateway reconciliation

CSV or Excel statement import, automatic matching by reference, amount, and combinations, a review queue for the rest, and suggestion rules that learn from earlier decisions.

Available

Bills and payments

Accounts payable with taxable base, input VAT, article 23 and article 4(2) withholding, due dates, and supporting documents. Tiered approval, partial or full payment, and a list of overdue bills.

Available

Fixed assets and depreciation

Asset register with straight-line or declining-balance schedules, automatic monthly posting, disposal with gain or loss, and legacy assets brought in with their accumulated depreciation.

Available

Journal activity log and audit

The history of every journal: who created, posted, reversed, attached evidence, and when. The audit log is append-only, enforced by the database, searchable and exportable to CSV for auditors.

Available

Periods and year-end closing

Lock a period with a checklist of what must be done first, reopen only with a recorded reason, close the year to retained earnings as a system journal.

Available

Multiple entities, roles, and access

Several companies in one account, IDR, USD, and SGD with a rate per transaction. Finance, approver, management, board, and time-limited auditor roles.

Available

Built-in governance

Related-party register, tiered approval with amount thresholds, remuneration caps, mandatory contracts, board reports, and receivables from issued invoices for full accrual.

Supplier bills, journaled with their taxes.

Finance types the supplier invoice; the application computes VAT and withholding, then journals on approval.

Rp10,900,000 is paid to the supplier; the Rp200,000 withholding is remitted to the tax office. When the transfer is approved: Dr accounts payable / Cr bank, and the bill becomes paid.
  • One invoice, once. The same invoice number from the same supplier is rejected.
  • Documents attached. The invoice and tax invoice are uploaded to the bill and follow it to the journal.
  • Separation of duties. Whoever records a bill or payment cannot approve it.
  • Ready for tax filing. The tax summary shows input VAT and withholding per journal line with counterparty and tax ID.

One Saka ecosystem: portal, doit.id, WACO.

Other systems send facts; Saka Finance journals them. There is only one ledger.

Sales portal

HMAC-signed webhook for invoice paid, refunded, and voided. Idempotent, and failed events can be replayed once the product map is completed.

Available
doit.id

Saka's payment gateway and bank statement reader. BCA, Mandiri, BNI, BSI, and BRI statements are pulled from doit.id every day into the reconciliation queue and matched to cash journals, with no CSV upload.

Available
WACO

Six-digit sign-in codes over WhatsApp from WACO, without Google or email that often gets stuck. Bill due-date reminders and report packs to shareholders will follow on the same channel.

Available for sign-in
Other banks and gateways

CSV or Excel statement import from BCA, Mandiri, BRI, BSI, Stripe, Xendit, Duitku, PayPal, and others; automatic matching to cash journals.

Available
Asset and payroll applications

Send acquisition, disposal, or payroll-period events with the same pattern as the portal. The contract is written in the integration guide; the endpoint is built once agreed.

Coming
Export and audit

Journals, chart of accounts, asset register, tax detail, and the audit log can be exported to CSV at any time; PDF report packs for shareholders, the board, and auditors.

Available

A page that explains the numbers, not just shows them.

Every figure can be clicked down to the journal and its document. One portal invoice becomes a complete journal with nothing typed.

Hosting is recognised at Rp45,000 over 22 Oct to 21 Nov; the domain at Rp417 per month over 12 months. The bank line of 22 Oct is matched to this invoice automatically.
  • What drove the change. Which product line grew, which cost grew faster than revenue.
  • Early warnings. Cash falling three months in a row, margin below average, overdue bills.
  • Fair comparisons. Last month, the same month last year, and year to date versus last year.
  • Final or provisional. Locked months are marked final and every month has a data quality score, so readers know which numbers are certain.
  • Ask the numbers. A board member or shareholder flags a figure or a journal and asks; the finance team's answer is recorded in the history.

One source of data, three points of view.

Tax, shareholders, and the board read the same numbers. Oversight is built into the system.

Portal is the source of revenue, bank is the source of cash

Journals are born from invoices. Bank lines are used to reconcile, not journaled by hand.

Accrual from day one

The service period on every invoice item decides when revenue is recognised, prorated by day.

Accounts in the company's name only

Operational exceptions are recorded with date, reason, and board approval.

Born from real experience.

Saka Finance was built after we lived through what it means to run a company whose numbers cannot be proven on time.

We have been in the position of answering shareholders while the report still lived in Excel, the numbers were seen as shifting and could not be trusted, and nobody could point to the source document. Oversight ran on trust, not on a system. That lesson was expensive, and we do not want another company to pay for it again.
The Saka team, founders and first users of Saka Finance
  • Every figure must trace back to an invoice, a bank line, or a document without opening Excel.
  • Oversight is built into the system: related parties, tiered approvals, an audit log nobody can delete.
  • Supervisors and investors read the same numbers as management, at the same time.
  • Used for our own books first, then opened to other companies.

What people usually ask before starting.

How do we start, and what does it cost?

Saka Finance is a Saka product built for our own needs and then opened to other companies. Contact us through the form below; we discuss your needs, your existing data, and the working arrangement with you before access is opened.

Where is my data stored and who can see it?

In the Saka cluster at a data centre in Singapore with daily backups. Each company is isolated per tenant; access is by invitation with clear roles.

We are still in Excel. How long until we can use it?

The first customer’s two fiscal years were loaded in a matter of days, including matching the trial balance to zero difference. All that is needed is the chart of accounts and the monthly journal sheets.

Does it replace our accounting software?

For the general ledger and reports, yes. Deliberately left out: payroll, e-invoicing, and inventory; those applications stay and send their facts to Saka Finance.

What about auditors and tax?

Posted journals cannot be edited, only reversed. Every journal has a history of who created, posted, and attached evidence, and the audit log is append-only.
